This converter accepts, at its input, the broadband signal from a cable television drop, and block converts it to a group of UHF broadcast channels.   The subscriber then selects the desired cable channel by tuning to the corresponding UHF channel indicated by the Channel Conversion Table on the bottom of the converter (above).   Note that:
  • The Channel Conversion Table uses Alpha Channel Designations (see U.S. Cable Television Analog Channel Designations).
  • There is no UHF output channel 39; this channel corresponds to the 4-MHz gap between cable channels 4 and 5.
